POINT-COUNTERPOINT HAWAII

We’re undertaking a new ThinkTech project to improve and extend engagement with our viewership and the public.  It’s a monthly series of live open forum webinars discussing public issues in Hawaii.

The first program will be on Saturday, March 4th from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm and will address Public Safety in Hawaii.  Of course, there are many implications and sub-issues that come under that topic, including violence, guns, drugs, mental health, DUI auto accidents and the operation of the criminal justice system in general.

The format is a moderated one-hour program with presentations by  a panel of hosts familiar with the issues involved with Q&A and commentaries by attendees by chat, email, text and phone throughout the program, designed to elicit as much feedback from viewers and the public as possible.

We will simultaneously stream each of these events on thinktechhawaii.com, upload them to YouTube, Vimeo and our other social media platforms, send the video links to attendees, publish them for the public, and submit them for broadcast on Channel 54 of Olelo Community Media.

We hope our hosts, guests and the public will register for the program (registration is on thinktedchhawaii.com) and actively participate by sending in questions and comments.  It’s an opportunity for everyone to engage and express their voices and their views about important community public policy issues.

We believe a program like this is of great value to Hawaii, and we look forward to producing and presenting it on a regular basis to achieve greater public involvement and awareness for the months and years to come.

ThinkTech, Always Listening
