BIG DISCOVERY ON AI -   openai.com ChatGPT is such a big deal these days, so I thought I’d try it.   Here are my first efforts. I gave it these instructions, and this is what it came up with.   My wife and I are considering buying some new furniture, so I asked chatGPT to tell me why that might be a good idea: "why should we get two new chairs and a couch" There could be a variety of reasons to get two new chairs and a couch: Comfort: If your current furniture is old and uncomfortable, new chairs and a couch could provide better support and comfort for your daily activities. Style: Updating your furniture can give your living space a fresh new look and feel, matching your personal style and home decor. Functionality: New chairs and a couch could better meet your needs, with features such as adjustable recliners or extra storage. Wear and Tear: If your current furniture is showing signs of wear and tear, such as sagging or ripped upholstery, it may be time for a replacement. H

ADVANCED SEARCH COMING SOON Our website developer is working on it right now.  He is adding two special search WordPress plugins to our site.  These will enable search fields with enhanced power and speed, including text fields, list fields and a date range field.  Using these fields will enable users to quickly find and view everything among our thousands of videos. The value is not only in the power and speed of the advanced search technology; it is in the data itself, that is, the fact that we have these many thousands of talk shows on YouTube and on thinktechhawaii.com (on our website and smartphone apps) that will all be instantly available through this enhanced search. It is a key that will unlock that data, that will allow users to view and learn from shows and discussions they would not otherwise be able to find, information and historic events they would not otherwise be able to review, and the comments and views of people they would not otherwise be able to consider. We thin

BURSTING WITH INNOVATIONS FOR THE NEW YEAR The New Year brings a burst of innovations at ThinkTech.   We are improving a number of our data tables on our Filemaker app, including our software list that will help us manage the many dozens of programs we use, and a function that will list our donors over the years so we can give them additional credit on our website and entr’acte. We have also established a new YouTube channel called "Briefs," and we are populating it with short clips from our talk shows to promote those shows and our main channel, too.  See YouTube.com/thinktechhawaii.  We want to make ThinkTech more \watchable, and this will help us do it. We are also adding a plugin to improve the search function on our website, thinktechhawaii.com, to make it more powerful and enable users to search and find molre shows more easily.  We want viewers to be able to find any show they want from among our thousands.  As always, we want to raise public awareness and this will he

DEBUT OF "OVER THE YEARS" The beginning of the year is a good time to look back and examine some of the long-forgotten details about the origins and evolution of ThinkTech Hawaii.   It's  been an interesting and remarkable adventure for us and the thousands who have participated in it. So we’ve been working on a series of animated if not nostalgic videos to cover these origins and evolution, in which we review various periods of our learning, growth and development in various animated chapters. We started with a chapter covering the beginning in 2000 when ThinkTech was just a random idea.   We’re calling that chapter “Over the Years - Origins.” It covers the memories of our very first steps, now 20 years and for most of us a long time ago.   The YouTube link for Chapter One is   https://youtu.be/PIasY6hT6js The second chapter begins around 2010 and it’s called “Over the Years - Reaching Out.” It’s dedicated to how we expanded out of radio and newspaper columns and into

COMMENTARY - AN EXTRAORDINARY INTERVIEW You've got to see Lies, Politics and Democracy: Mona Charen, an interview on Frontline PBS in October of 2022.  It's on YouTube.  Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13dPT9Cr6u4&ab_channel=FRONTLINEPBS%7COfficial Mona Charen is a political conservative.  She served in the Raegan White House.  She is an outspoken, award-winning columnist, journalist, radio and TV panelist and political commentator.  She has written a number of bestselling books on political and foreign policy issues.  Interesting that the interview tracks on what we have often discussed in our Trump Week talk show, on the Rule of Law in the New Abnormal, It's Time for Responsible Change, and on our American Issues shows, and validates many comments made on these shows. The interview resonates on many points and issues we have raised and discussed in our talk shows on Trump and his machinations and effects on the country, and should serve as a warn
