BUILDING OUR LEGACY OF LEARNING

ThinkTech is now building a Legacy of Learning Collection out of the nearly 20,000 talk shows, webinars and program videos we have produced over the past ten years.

We're going to enhance our website and our YouTube search functions and playlist pages. We want to empower everyone who cares about our content, and make sure that they can find anything we've done, from the beginning.

We're going to go through all of these videos, review them for content and quality and improve them for better viewing when appropriate.

We're going to curate and organize them into special playlists and collections, and make sure they are good and worthy for archival research and community use under creative commons.

Given the number and scope of these videos, it'll take a while and some staff and volunteer time to do what we have in mind, but we're determined to do it and confident that it will be well worthwhile.

The project will provide open access of our work to those who would like to do research on the personalities and discussions of our coverage and the historical sea changes in Hawaii during those years, and we believe this will be of great value to inform their research.

For us, the review of this content will of course be most interesting, and we look forward to doing it and examining, organizing, explaining and presenting the results of our efforts to the public.  If you'd be interested in volunteering to help us on this project, please let us know and we'll find a place for you.

PLEASE GET READY FOR OUR FALL FUND DRIVE The ramp up for our Fall Fund Drive starts in mid-October and the drive itself will be in and through the month of November.  It's coming soon so we're preparing for it, with our various emails, bulletins and messages to go to our viewers, hosts and guests, including you.  We rely heavily on our fund drives to pay the bills.  Regrettably, our last two fund drives were not as successful as we had hoped, and so this time we're working hard to address what we can do to make this one more successful. Graphics are worth at least a thousand words We have so many stories and links on our various publications, including our Daily Email Advisories and our Flash Messages and all the newsletters we send out covering news, events, features, fund drives, projects and holidays. All these can all be better with graphics, graphics that catch the eye and reinforce the message.  And more and more we're getting into the swing of things by adding graphics to our content.  That can include graphics from one of the stock photo sites we use, or an AI graphic from Discord-MidJourney, or one of the graphics we have in our collection. We found and have moved on to storing our collection of photos and graphics in Google photos, where we have accumulated a huge number of them in that collection, and this helps us find and include them in all our publications.  The good thing about Google photos is that you can upload and tag them quickly, then find and download them quickly.  Furthermore, you can edit

THINKTECH WORKFLOW NOTICE ThinkTech is always improving its workflow. Now, in lieu of specific “airdates” we will simply upload your shows onto YouTube as soon as they are edited, i.e., 1-2 days after you have appeared on your show. As soon as the videos are uploaded, we will let you know and send you the on demand links for the show and the YouTube playlist so that you can watch the show and share those links withyour friends and associates.. We have redesigned our website to list all the Latest Productions on the top of the homepage (just below the player) and as a sidebar on other pages on the site, so that you can find and play them on demand as soon as they are available.  This will give you better production values for your shows, make it easier for you to find, play and replay them now and in the future, make the workflow easier for our staff, and save software subscription costs.
