THINKTECH GOING FARTHER

A few months ago, we made a video identifying all the places ThinkTech has done shows in Hawaii, on the mainland and around the world, including Africa, Latin America and Asia.  It was exciting to take stock how many hundreds of places that has included over the years.

But more recently, it has become even more obvious, and the video and audio we've has become all the more impressive.  Honestly, you couldn't tell whether the show emanated from Moiliili,  or from across the world.   Sometimes, you have to pinch yourself.  That's one of the reasons we now show the location of the host or guest on the screen, so you can tell.

A couple of shows stick in my mind where that happened.  Some from Hanover, Germany with Martin Despang, some from Bogota, Colombia with Nicholas Sussman-Herran, some from Kanpala, Uganda with Gilbert Nuwagira, and finally and a recent show from Pnom Penh, Cambodia with Atithep Meas.  Aside from the excellence of the subjects, hosts and guests, the audio and video have been first class in each case.  And there are many others.

And we expect this will continue and even improve.  Maybe it's the equipment our correspondents are using.  Maybe it's the quality of broadband in those places or around the world.  Maybe it's the quality of our equipment and engineers that makes everyone look and sound so good.  Covid has forced us all to use remote video, and we've been using it and improving it over the past two plus years. Could it be that Zoom and all of us have someone caught up. and we are all doing better now.

Check it out and see what we mean.  Check out our international talk shows and connections.  Please let us know how our distances are working for you.  Give us your suggestions on how to improve our production values even more.  And if you have suggestions for people we can connect with in faraway places, please let us know that too.
