Fall 2021 Fund Drive: ThinkTech Gives Thanks


We give thanks to each of you for supporting ThinkTech during these especially challenging times. We have strived to provide you the most up-to-date and relevant content in this rapidly changing environment. 

With your help, this past year we have produced 1,500 shows, interviewed 1,800 guests, produced our first documentary (Spiraling Crisis: The Alarming Convergence of Climate Change and Pandemics), started work on our second documentary on agricultural diversification for Hawaii, and expanded our platform to new social media channels and a number of new series on Olelo 54.  

However, with the economy in a state of uncertainty, we have experienced diminished underwriter support. In addition, several of our grant applications have been denied. Help us continue as the only free media platform of its kind in Hawaii.

Please join us in our upcoming Fall 2021 Fund Drive during the month of November. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, a tax-deductible donation of $20 or $200 or any other amount will be deeply appreciated.  Our goal is to raise $20,000.

PLEASE GET READY FOR OUR FALL FUND DRIVE The ramp up for our Fall Fund Drive starts in mid-October and the drive itself will be in and through the month of November.  It's coming soon so we're preparing for it, with our various emails, bulletins and messages to go to our viewers, hosts and guests, including you.  We rely heavily on our fund drives to pay the bills.  Regrettably, our last two fund drives were not as successful as we had hoped, and so this time we're working hard to address what we can do to make this one more successful. Graphics are worth at least a thousand words We have so many stories and links on our various publications, including our Daily Email Advisories and our Flash Messages and all the newsletters we send out covering news, events, features, fund drives, projects and holidays. All these can all be better with graphics, graphics that catch the eye and reinforce the message.  And more and more we're getting into the swing of things by adding graphics to our content.  That can include graphics from one of the stock photo sites we use, or an AI graphic from Discord-MidJourney, or one of the graphics we have in our collection. We found and have moved on to storing our collection of photos and graphics in Google photos, where we have accumulated a huge number of them in that collection, and this helps us find and include them in all our publications.  The good thing about Google photos is that you can upload and tag them quickly, then find and download them quickly.  Furthermore, you can edit

THINKTECH WORKFLOW NOTICE ThinkTech is always improving its workflow. Now, in lieu of specific “airdates” we will simply upload your shows onto YouTube as soon as they are edited, i.e., 1-2 days after you have appeared on your show. As soon as the videos are uploaded, we will let you know and send you the on demand links for the show and the YouTube playlist so that you can watch the show and share those links withyour friends and associates.. We have redesigned our website to list all the Latest Productions on the top of the homepage (just below the player) and as a sidebar on other pages on the site, so that you can find and play them on demand as soon as they are available.  This will give you better production values for your shows, make it easier for you to find, play and replay them now and in the future, make the workflow easier for our staff, and save software subscription costs.
