BEYOND UKRAINE, IS WORLD DEMOCRACY IN PERIL?

Over the past few weeks, even a cursory reading of the media reminds us that (a) the country is fragmented, (b) voting in 2022 and 2024 is likely to be chaotic, (c) Russia's war against Ukraine is hybrid and has deployed elements beyond kinetic warfare, i.e., propaganda, disinformation, and cyberwar, and may well also include chemical and biological weapons, and even tactical nuclear weapons, (d) some of those weapons will also be used, or are being used, against the United States, (e) our world is dividing into defined camps of democratic governments versus autocratic governments.

All this makes it increasingly clear that democracy is in peril.  That being the case, our ThinkTech Webinar panel program Burning Global Changes scheduled for 10 am on Friday April 1 is all the more relevant and important.  You can ignore these sea changes, and maybe there is nothing you can do about them, but make no mistake soon enough and perhaps very soon they will affect us all, along with the additional and combined deadly threats of covid and climate change.

Learn more about the global issues in play by signing up to attend this webinar, where six panelists will examine the burning issues for each of six continents, and how those issues relate to prospects for functional democracy.  Sign up at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_xCe8s-6yQA2ntWMmixKGqQ or on thinktechhawaii.com.
